I've been coming to Kismet forever! When I was younger, I'd stop at 7-11 for a slurpee then head over to Kismet with my friends for a large fry (healthy, I know!) The owner is very nice and always seems excited to see a regular! My favorite here is the gyros. I have yet to find a better gyro in the Orland Park area.

Great local place and the food came out so quickly. The food was fresh, fast and great and the atmosphere takes me back to when my mom was a waitress. I love this place!

Roy is a good guy(owns Kismet/plaza it is in) who can come off as a wee bit overbearing, especially when you're sitting down & trying to eat, but the effort he takes to talk to his customers and treat them with kindness more than makes up for the slight annoyance of someone randomly chatting you up while you're trying to eat. Give this place a shot! Their gyros are delicious, and basically the only reason I come here. Every 23rd day of the month has their delicious gyros for the low price of $3.

I came here based on the recommendation of a friend who has lived in the area for a long time. The staff and owner were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. However, the food wasn't all that great. My wife and I had gyros and they weren't the worst I've had, but they were far from the best. I know a lot of locals like the place, but I don't see myself coming here often. It's a shame as we live so close, but if I'm going to spend my money on food, I want it to be good.

Big burgers, good gyros, good prices, and everything tastes better than pop's. My go to source for Chicago's own ILtaco pizza puffs.

This is a neighborhood gem. The cheeseburger and the gyros are my go to and you get what you pay for and then some. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Add cheese for the fries.

Only my second time here and it was okay. There was no 'wow' factor and the gyros tasted slightly salty. I have not tried anything other than the gyros here.

I have been going to Kismet since they opened in the 1980s. The fact that they have been around so long tells you a lot about the place. The food is excellent, especially the burgers, and the prices are also very good. They also serve the best Gyro you will find in this area. Also, the owner, I forget his name, is a class act. He always spends time to talk to my kids and pay them compliments, although we don't see him there as much as we used to. I highly recommend that you pay Kismet a visit.

They slightly lowered the price on their large gyro special since my review on 5/3/10. Good to see that. Bad news is that they think it's okay to give you the shitty burnt meant you get when the spit of meat has been unused for too long or on for too long, what the hell? The second is: They're offering $3.00 Italian beef sandwiches! The bad news is, any positive aspects of this deal end at the price. The peppers they put on the sandwiches are from large Vienna Beef bottles of premade shit. Think the stuff you buy at a grocery store, smothered in disgusting olive oil. How the hell can you think it's okay to offer premade peppers when there are so few ingredients to the sandwich in the first place? Roll of bread, italian beef, and peppers! Coome on, Roy! What are you doing to your place? I don't want to give you my money anymore, you clearly don't deserve it anymore.

I remembered this place from 16 years ago. I had to take a few different streets to find it as I forgot the name? But it was worth it when I get there. I have been jonesing for a greasy burger for a couple of weeks now. I didn't get that here. What I did get was a burger with my choice of cheese with fresh veggies in it and a bun that tasted like they made it today. The fries were crinkle cut and crispy. The place was spotless and the service was right on the money. Out of the way but worth it.

The salads here are good and fresh. I usually get the jumbo shrimp dinner. Those shrimp are sooo good! You get so much food for the right price with the dinners. You get 3 sides and get to choose from a variety of side dishes. Gyros aren't that great. The Reuben is very good. I remember when this place was pretty dumpy and disgusting when they were opened but they remodeled the place and are very good. They have a huge variety of food to choose from.

Perhaps this being located in the neighborhood that I grew up has me biased, but I love Kismet. Whether you want Greek or American, this place has you covered. I can't even count how many times I've ordered the double cheeseburger meal. It's very good. My friend orders the hot dog special with an extra hot dog every time he goes it seems. The french fries are delicious and if you get cheese for the fries you will not be disappointed by the decision. The gyros is very, very good. You may have had a better gyros elsewhere, but for my money this is the best gyros in Orland Park, and probably the surrounding towns as well. If you want feta, you have to request it. It's worth it. They cram the meat in these things. It's delicious. My mom will order a gyros an request extra cucumber sauce. That in addition to what the previous reviewer has mentioned, this might be an issue for some people. In which case, I would just request an additional little cup'o'sauce. Personally, I feel they put the perfect amount of sauce. For vegetarians, or those in the mood for a salad, I definitely request the Greek Salad. Plenty of feta among other things, it's great. The chicken fingers are also very good. Do yourself a favor and try the baklava. It's a great little dessert that you won't regret ordering. The owner + family are ever-so-slightly strange but the high school aged girls that work there usually are nice and well trained. Except for some Shannon character who used to work there... Anyways, it's a great place with some good foods.

This was my first experience with Kismet after hearing many glowing reviews from coworkers. A bunch of us at work ordered food for lunch and ate it at work. I ordered the famous Gyro and I was a bit disappointed. I was told this was what Kismet was known for and was delicious, but I've had better Gyro sandwiches elsewhere. The pita was soggy (which may have been from wrapping it up warm and then carrying it out) and there was no feta cheese (which I love on Gyros). The best Gyros I've had had plenty of taziki or cucumber sauce, but his sandwich barely had any. The meat itself was yummy and there was plenty of it. I ended up eating it with a fork and just completely disregarding the onions, tomato, and pita all together. I won't say that I'll never try Kismet again, in fact I probably will. I want to try venturing into the establishment myself instead of carry out. I have a very high expectation when it comes to Gyros. I've heard their Greek salads are amazing so I'll try that next time.

Best gyros ever. They also have amazing burgers and fries. Loved this place as a kid. Cannot wait til my next time in Chicago. As soon as I get off the plane, I am making a bee line to Kismet!

Grilled chicken breast sandwiches, hamburgers, fries all so good. Try the lemon chicken soup, it is fantastic. Never a bad meal at reasonable prices. Shakes are good as well.
